Lights, Camera, Action! Atlanta Youth to Train with Industry Pros at Summer Film Camp, July 14–26, 2025
Atlanta’s next generation of filmmakers is stepping into the spotlight this summer. From July 14–26, 2025, the Ambassador Arts Academy Youth Documentary Film Camp will offer an immersive, two-week training experience for underserved youth, featuring workshops and mentorship with top professionals from the industry’s leading studios, including Assembly Studios, Lionsgate Atlanta, and Trilith Institute.
Founder, Executive Director
Founded by event and film producer Cristina Davis Whitlow, this intensive program empowers young creatives to learn the art of documentary filmmaking with direct instruction from filmmakers, producers, and faculty from elite institutions like SAE Institute Atlanta and SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design).
“This camp is about more than teaching film,” says Whitlow. “It’s about giving students access to a world they’ve never seen — and the tools to one day lead it.”
Ambassador: Actor & Producer Robert C. Riley
Bringing star power and mentorship to the program is camp ambassador Robert C. Riley, known for his roles in Dynasty, Hit the Floor, Beyond the Gates, and Tyler Perry’s new series Divorced Sisters. Riley will speak to students, offer hands-on insight, and participate in the closing events — bringing Hollywood inspiration straight to Atlanta’s youth.
“Every human is an artist. The dream of your life is to make beautiful art.”
